We are referring to one of the most charming towns in Andalusia, located in its neuralgic centre. What to see in Antequera?<\/h2>\n

Here is a list of what to visit in Antequera.<\/strong><\/p>\n

1) Antequera Fortress<\/h3>\n

At the highest point of the city we find one of the last strongholds of Muslim domination on the peninsula. It is a castle built in the 14th century, where you can immerse yourself in the era through guided tours.<\/p>\n

2) Las Almenillas viewpoint<\/h3>\n

A few metres from the Alcazaba<\/strong> we find our next stop, from where we can enjoy a panoramic view of the whole city in its maximum splendour with beautiful sunsets.<\/p>\n

3) Museums<\/h3>\n

In the historic centre of the city, we will visit the Museum of the City of Antequera<\/strong>, located in the Palace of N\u00e1jera, which was built in the 16th century. We can also enjoy more contemporary works in the Museo de Arte de la Diputaci\u00f3n<\/strong>, located in a palatial house typical of Antequera.<\/p>\n

4) Dolmens of Antequera<\/h3>\n

The Dolmen of Menga<\/strong>, the Dolmen of Viera<\/strong> and the Tholos of El Romeral<\/strong>, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for being the largest megalithic settlement in Europe, are a must on your tour. You can book your tickets on the official website<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

5) Torcal de Antequera<\/h3>\n

One of the things to do in Antequera<\/strong> is undoubtedly to lose yourself in the beauty of the Torcal. You can’t leave the city without visiting this impressive natural site that will make you feel like you’re on another planet.<\/p>\n

It is advisable to visit it in the morning, as the car park has a limited capacity, although there is a shuttle bus service at any time. We recommend our range of SUV vehicles<\/a><\/strong> to better adapt to the conditions of the terrain.<\/p>\n

6) Wolf Park<\/h3>\n

Park in the Sierra de Antequera where we can observe 4 different types of wolves in their natural habitat. With guided tours from Monday to Sunday it is a unique and unforgettable experience.<\/p>\n

7) Gastronomy<\/h3>\n

We could not finish this guide without mentioning two dishes typical of Antequera.<\/p>\n

Porra Antequerana<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you want to leave with a good taste in your mouth, you must try its famous recipe of Roman origin, a cold soup based on tomato and garlic that will undoubtedly surprise you.<\/p>\n

Antequera Mollete<\/strong><\/p>\n

A must for your breakfast or snack is the mollete<\/strong>, a very tender oval bread roll traditionally eaten with olive oil, tomato and salt.<\/p>\n

8) Caminito del Rey<\/h3>\n

With a full stomach, our last stop is the Caminito del Rey<\/strong>, where you can bring out your adventurous side. It is only 30 km away by road.
